Judge Campbell Hegan said: 鈥業 thought this was a very slickly-produced film, and also laugh-out-loud funny.鈥 He also praised their 鈥榚xcellent use of sound effects and music鈥 and said the scripting, editing, and camerawork were of a very high quality. It was, overall, 鈥榦utstandingly well done鈥.
Short Shorts creates a platform to promote the Kaipatiki community and young aspiring filmmakers. Primary, intermediate and secondary students are invited to submit short films of 3-5 minutes. This year students were asked to submit a film based on the theme 鈥楽ecrets鈥.
Because of Covid 19 lockdown restrictions the planned awards presentation could not be held 鈥 so the finalists and winners were announced online. Winners will receive certificates and cash prizes once lockdown levels permit.
